Cool New to me 3184

So I picked this up a few days ago, got such a good deal on it there wasn't anyway I could pass it up.

The carb needs to be rebuilt, the idle circuit is full of junk so once I get the rebuild kit in, Ill throw the carb in the ultrasonic for a cleansing in carb cleaner, should fix it right up.

Got the orig manual and paperwork from when the guy bought it.

Did a fluid/filter changes already, compression test etc.... got it all greased up and almost ready to become a slave to the yard.

Well I will be using the Super until its sold, I still HATE to get rid of it, and I may just end up giving this one to my dad and going back to a 149/1450/1650. I have the "fix it" disease with everything, I rarely hold on to cars, motorcycles, mowers....really anything, I never seem to keep anything long (and man it drives the wife nuts!) But I enjoy tinkering WAY too much.

Wow... 145 hrs that thing is just about new. It should serve you well! Be glad you fix things and get rid of them.. I love to tinker and fix also... but my problem is that I get attached and never get rid of any of them!! I just keep bringing home more to work on!

Shed space gets scarce really quick!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
