Default CC LT1042 value

I’m looking for opinions on what my Cub Cadet LT1042 is worth. I bought it for only $50 a few months ago. I have installed a new air cleaner with pre-filter, fuel filter, spark plug, LED light bulbs, oil filter with oil change, and new front tires. It has the notoriously bad Kohler Courage 19hp engine and once it warms up it leaks a decent amount of oil… Right now, other than the minor oil leak, the only problem is that the PTO/clutch to engage the mower deck is bad. I have it for sale as is for $450 OBO. How much would the value increase if I did install the new $145 PTO/clutch so that the mower deck works? It’s just that I don’t know if it’s worth investing $145 into something with a Kohler Courage that already leaks oil.
Also, it has 500 hours. Is that low or high or normal?
Any input is much appreciated.

I.M.O. if you take $450 from someone you should be arrested for theft.
On the other hand, if the wrong person buys it you may not have to worry about being arrested.

Are you saying that I have it priced too high Ironman?
I will accept any opinions on whether or not it is priced to high.
If you’re talking about the oil leak… I’ll describe it better here: leaks oil once warmed up, not a ton, would probably have to have a small amount added every other use. I know oil leaks and general unreliability are very common problems with the Kohler Courage motors.

I agree with Ironman. They are a cheaply made lawn tractor and are not really worth much. IMO, for $450, I would expect it to be in perfect operating condition.

In perfect working condition on Craigslist and at auction I’ve seen them go for $500-600.
I’m just going to come out and ask, what does IMO stand for?
I guess maybe I will have to lower the price… I just don’t think it would be worth putting the $145 PTO/clutch and or gasket kit to fix the oil leak+time into this machine.

Put it out there for what ever you think it's worth.
If it don't sell within 3 or 4 weeks you know you are asking too much.
You asked for opinions and you received a few.
If someone really wants it they will make an offer.
What anyone else thinks it's worth is irrelevant.
In My Opinion, I just scan on past ad's for lawn mowers.

I’ve had it out for $450 for 2.5 weeks. In 1 more week, I’ll lower the price to $375. Thanks for the input everyone.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
