I think you can get pretty much any internal part in that engine. Couple questions. Do you have any exp rebuilding engines? Is the engine locked up from sitting or did it lock up from low oil condition? Either reason it locked up it may be beyond rebuilding but only way to determine that is to open it up and have a look. If I looked up the correct engine I saw complete engine for $999
Short block for around $500, and partial rebuild kits for 300$..

But as you mentioned in a previous post...take the stuck engine apart and evaluate what is needed to determine whether replacement is necessary.

https://www.northerntool.com/shop/to...RoCbLUQAvD_BwE We buy CH740-3117's like they are going out of style lol.. Theres a company that builds walk behind belt loaders that have this engine. End users tend to blow em up quite frequently. Under powered for what its doing is my guess. Company has since started installing kubota diesels

This is why I keep jumping on you cooperino. You talk and talk and post and post, but you just don't know the specifics enough to give accurate information. Either take the time to go to Cub Cadet (not tractor data) and look up the parts, then find an appropriate replacement that works, or just quit giving out info!!! Good thing Beth was paying attention. To the OP: Are you sure the PTO isn't locked up? |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
