Default Which would be better?

I am starting to get more tractors than I need, (like may others here, ha ha)
One of my favorite summer activities are car shows, tractor shows and such. At many of these shows, I see them lengthened (like 2 machines that have been made into 1) while others have the back to back double seat like a golf cart as a butt buggy to take their owner from place to place around the show, as well as tractors with tracks and more... I saw one even that had the seat turned around and a snow plow off of a Jeep or small truck mounted off the back, what was originally the "front" of the tractor was now the back, and steered like a rear steer forklift... that one was on Craigslist this past winter.

I'm thinking I'd like to build myself a custom butt buggy type thing maybe with a small bed/box on the back, or something like that.... like a GT turned into something like a golf cart.
If you guys were gonna do something like this would you start with a hydro or gear drive tractor? I'm thinking for its purpose I could get by with a smaller HP (8-10HP Kohler) machine to base it off of...

I'm not quite ready to start on this, as I have a few other projects that are in progress that I want to finish 1st, but the wheels are turning... ideas are forming.

Personally I'd say use a hydro rear axle. On a hydro you can control FNR from anywhere you can route a cable or linkage from. With a gear drive, the operator must be somewhere close to the gear shift lever. If you decided to lengthen a gear drive tractor the operator will need to be back by the rear axle. Just a thought.

I'll PM it to you... besides the color, I have seen a few that look like they welded the frames of 2 of the same series of tractors together to make their stretch models... seems I see the most of these custom machines at one particular threshermen's show that I go to every Labor Day weekend.... but see one here, another there otherwise...
