This should drive the purists crazy
Here is a project I've been working on for a little while.
Although I find that I have to "go over" the ground more times when tilling with a gear drive tractor, it just seems to be easier than constantly messing with the lever on a hydro drive tractor. Until you get to the end of the row, that's when I really appreciate having the convenience of a hydro. So I put this together just to make my life a little easier. I used it for a little while today and it seems to work very well.

I think IH missed out not making a gear drive with hydraulic lift built in, or dual hydraulics built in for my hydraulic snow blade! They could have made a small pump hide away somehow if they engineered it to be. It would have been a neat machine for sure.

Yosemite Sam: I haven't seen a cub cadet yet that didn't want to make life a little easier (except to work on), nice job on the mount and the more hydraulics the better I always say. .

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
