I planted lettuce and spinach 10 days ago, and of course-------------
I planted taters on St Patrick's Day!! These were all planted "no-till". aka - Ruth Stout's method!! We always plant something with Ruth Stout's method. http://www.motherearthnews.com/Organ...#axzz2NuxTjIFH |

I found the video for Ruth's method of gardening
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GNU8IJzRHZk This is the reason I get to keep the Cubs' in the shed so much, but, I sure do get to use the trailer a LOT!! Here is a pic of the 2012 mulch going down. Did I mention I add mulch!!?? This is mostly decomposed chipped wood, some (25%?) horse manure. Some of those "rows of "mulch" still exist this year. I believe this is identical to what they sell in the big box stores as potting soil. I am going to try planting on top of the mulch, using it like potting soil. We will see what happens. |

Last year at this time I had tilled and planted 200 feet of potatoes, 100 of peas and 100 feet of onions. This year its snowing and 20 degrees. I do have 400 feet of garlic in, planted in October. Hope to get in 1200 feet of taters and the same of onions soon as things break. Rows will all be made to work with the 126 and cultivators this year. It worked out great last season.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
