Paint Mix Ratios
In the next week or so I hope to spray my 1572 fenders and body panels. I have some experience painting but am by no means a professional, I will be using a HVLP gun with 1.3 or 1.4 tip at approximately 32psi.
The paint I purchased didn't have much for instructions on mix ratios, here are my plans below I'm hoping someone with experience using these paints can validate whether or not I am on track. Cub Cadet yellow (759-3263) Paint - 8 Reducer - 4 Hardner - 1 CNH Ironguard white (935) Paint - 8 Reducer - 4 Hardner - 1

Your Paint/Reducer/Hardener ratio has always worked for me using a 1.3 nozzle.
For Majic Paint, my ratio is 8:4:1.5 It has a much longer dry time so I add extra hardener to counter that reality and it’s “softer” properties when cured. With the extra hardener, it dries rock hard and I have never had it chip. Their hardener has a very high gloss. I have never had much success using Cub Cadet acrylic enamel because they don’t sell a reducer or hardener designed for the chemistry of their paint - requiring you to mix products from various manufacturers. I could never find products that mixed or sprayed well with it. Folks on various sites rave about NAPA products so you may want to start there for a compatible reducer and hardener. CaseIH sells a great product but I was told (Messick’s) that they didn’t sell a hardener so I stayed with Majic with pretty good results. I understand if you leave your equipment outdoors however, Majic paint has a tendency to fade.
