Default Good morning all

I am the newb for the moment I guess. I have to admit to lurking the past few days. Looks like there is a lot of knowledge and quality people here. I just happened upon a 149 CC and am trying to make her dependable and user friendly. It's gonna be a worker but I like everything to work/look as it is supposed to. It runs well and only huffs a trace of blue for a couple seconds cold. Hydro needs a service and the steering needs adjusted or rebuild. It has over a half round either way of freedom so it keeps you busy, especially with the 44" pull behind Swisher mower. It makes a wide path with the 50" deck! Looking forward to getting to know you guys. I gotta get the grandkids moving and my coffee cup is dry. Musta rambled enough. Matt

Welcome to OCC also!
The fellows like pictures and can help you fix most anything.
Just give back with what you found if you have a problem
as it helps everyone.
And remember there are no stupid questions, just unasked ones.

Thanks all for the warm welcome. I live just outside the thriving metropolis of Walnut, right off of beautiful I80 @ the 46mm. I hope to be moingona this afternoon if my mule shaft belt makes it here in time. Matt

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
