Default 1250 problems

I have a 1250 with a problem I cant figure out. In the summer time when mowing the yard it starts to stumble and then dies. If I pull the choke out when it stumbles it will stay running but doesent seam to have as much power. When it dies there is no fuel in the filter but if I blow into the tank it starts right up.Things that I have done are rebuilt the carb, decarbonized, new valves, new headgasket, points, conden, plug, wire, coil, new fuel lines, and removed the strainer in the fuel tank and cleaned tank. This is driving me nuts that I cant figure it out!!!

Blowing into the cap can force air in. Sometimes when the caps are older and the rubber brittle they don't flex enough for normal atmospheric pressure to do it's thing. MikeC

What kind of fuel filter are you using? I got a couple from my local Cub dealer last summer that he swears are for gravity feed system. But you cant make it around the yard once and they stop. Changed to a different brand filter and been fine ever since. You could blow in the tank and they would flow, but when you hooked it back up and started to mow it would quit again. Just my

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
