Default Need repair advise

My latest toy is a 2284 that is in pretty good condition with the exception of the headlight mounting. In the pic you can see the previous owner has tried to repair
Other than replacing the grill has anyone successfully repaired the light mounts?
If so please advise and I would really appreciate pics!

Thank you

If you still have the studs glue them on, if not use pieces of pipe screwed into the grill. BTDT.

He will probably have that for a while. That is way out of my budget too. I could kick myself for not buying a couple when they were 125-150 new. It has not been that long ago when they were still available new.

Power mower sales shows them in stock, 233.00 but who knows if they still have them.

I am still too cheap to buy at that price, I paid just over double that for the whole dang tractor and had to add a battery. I do feel it was a great deal

The picture shows where the previous owner tried gluing them on so I am thinking that he did not remove the grill and did it in place. I guess I am hoping that disassembling the grill and setting it flat will be the difference between them breaking again and staying on

Bought One New from Cub In 2021 and then Bought one from CCS with all the Headlight's & Grill together actually Put In LED Headlights Instead from I save Tractors so I think In total I have 3 Grills for Just In case This Grill is the One thing MTD should Have Made in steel for the cyclops tractors But at Least they are the same In Between Standard and Super GT's of the cyclops era

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
