Any way to Bench test a rectifier?
Is there anyway to bench test a rectifier from a k301? part# 41 403 01

I guess if you had a power supply that would put out 28VAC it could probably be done. Put 28VAC to the outside terminals and see if you are getting 13.7VDC on the center terminal otherwise it will have to be tested on a running engine.

Its actually pretty easy to check on the engine. Just pull the three pin connector back enough to touch your multi meter to the prongs on the rectifier. The link I sent you will show you what the specs should be with the engine running full throttle.
