Status update time!
Powder coat should be done today or tomorrow. Bolts should be in middle of next week. The mower deck will be the last part powder coated as it's at the body shop getting ready for powder coat. Once I get bolts I'll be starting assembly. |

Yeah the rear pto is going to be sweet. The steering wheels were in rough shape before the body man worked his magic. I had one to many done so got list it for sale. Seeing it makes me want to get a round fender! They look beter in person then in the pics!

I need 2 steering wheels not the 3 that I had restored. I don't have a round fender cub so no need to have a restored steering wheel collecting dust. Plus it's to nice to have just sitting around. The rear pto came from GA.

Since my friend has had a few troubles obviously a few days luck like mine with tractors I thought I would post some updates for him... got some tire paint applied applied the other day and while I would go with a newer look I understand what the owner is looking for and hope these fit the bill!
Got some before and after shots! first dirty ones are before the cleaning and then the next are after the cleaning and i was surprised of how well they looked then, the one pic is of the supplies to paint with and the rope idea stolen from Oak, then the close ups hanging on the rope are of the end result i will see if i can't get another of them a little better.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
