Picked up a 2135
Got a Lew Deal on a 2135 grass cutter. Bought a cheap 2135 that I found local on FB for $125.00 it runs and will be the grass killer for my step daughter to use once I service it. Found that it was missing the stamped steel cover that fits over the air cleaner. Figured no big deal just order one nope Kohler has now come up with some POS that they call a "KIT, FUEL RECOVERY for only $90.51" yeah like that's gonna happen. Found the old part and ordered it. Gotta love the EPA. I'll post pics later, it needs a bath.

This is why you should pull the engine, remove the blower housing and clean the fins every few years. This one had a mouse condo in it. Little bastard even ate the kill wire.

Got the little turd pretty much back to usable. Cleaned everything, fixed the kill wire. Put it back together and found out it had some safety switch issue so out came the wire cutters and crimp on butt connectors. It can't malfunction if it's in the trash can.
Back to old school. Now I'm waiting for a new deck belt and it will be of to the races. I'll do the oil and filter in the trans after we run it for a couple hours.

Greased up the sealed bearings for the mule drive pulleys and the deck idler pulley. Changed the transmission oil and filter, sharpened the blades, cleaned up the wiring. It's now ready to cut grass. No it will not be getting a hood, the sheet metal is junk and I'm not spending more on it. I may fab up a bumper.

geat find, I got one about a month ago on marketplace for 150, gas and a new battery and we mowed the yard. lady said she was tired of messing with it and worked on it more than mowed.
 so far have found very little wrong with it.
