I've decided to part with my 2182. This tractor has already had the once over by a very SGT knowledgeable member. (He may identify himself if he chooses.)
Edit: Sam Mac is the member This is a good one guys.
Here is a list of the mods that were performed before I acquired it:
-Rear end was taken apart, cleaned, drain holes drilled for axle tubes, and new gaskets.
-Rear end support brackets brackets installed.
-Custom wiring harness with new aftermarket fuel pump.
-Oil pressure, engine temp, and voltage gauges installed.
-New water pump installed.
-12" wheels with loaded tru power tires.
-Deck disassembled, sandblasted, spindles checked, rear mounts modified, casters replaced, and painted.
-Rear PTO removed. I repeat NO REAR PTO.
-Includes a 3pt to sleeve hitch adapter.
I have since installed:
-All new steering joints.
-A beautiful scotch-guarded, padded, and pocketed seat cover!
This tractor has never failed to start in the 2 years I have owned it. Even in the dead of winter. It does smoke some at start up but clears. It also uses some oil. That being said, the motor runs excellent. I do not know actual hours as previous owner replaced faulty hour meter. (it reads 97hrs)

What is a fair price..??

considering the series of tractor and your general location I had no problem figuring out who "the other member" might be....

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
