48" deck on 1782
I'm sure this has been discussed but I haven't found it. I have a 1782 with a 60" haban and would like to put a 48" deck under it cause it would work in my yard better. I found a 317190 48" gt deck that came off a 1641. Will the frame off the 1641 work on mine or will I need to find a frame for it? Thanks for any advice

It will work. Go to the Cub Cadet website and do some part number comparisons to see what is the same.

If you only need a 48" deck, just go buy a GT. What do you need a SGT for if you only need a 48" deck. I suggest either getting rid of the super, or adding a second tractor for mowing duties. Whatever... it's your stuff.
The 1782 was made to accept a 46", 50" (50C), 54" or 60" deck. Just go look up your model of tractor and choose "attachments" and it tells you. If you don't know how to look it up, I'm sure someone will walk you through it. |

he model 317, 48 inch gt deck and the model 324, 54 inch deck, will both fit on a 1782 and use the same attachment frame assembly and works very well on a super.

Same frame, different lift links and belt and you move the deck carriage to the rear holes on the mule drive.

OK. Thank you for the response. I was confused about the parts listing have a adaptor on it but didn't realize it was just the links and belt. I found one on eBay bout an hr from home that isn't in to bad of shape.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
