Cub Cadet 73 instrument panel
I have a 73. I have some work to do it. It has previously been “re-done”. I was hoping someone would please post pictures of their 73 instrument panel so I can see what it is supposed to look like.
I am adding pictures of mine so you can see what may be off. Is the large hole a factory thing, or is this where someone enlarged the hole? Also what items go on the instrument panel? Is it an ignition switch and a cigarette lighter? Thank you in advance.

That diagram is a bit misleading as the switch actually goes in from the rear of the U clamp, part #15.
From left to right: (bottom photo) switch (17), U clamp (15), nut Then insert the assembly into the dash from the inside, then the cup, (16) from the outside, held by another nut, from the outside. I like that setup as it protects the key when in the switch from damage from my gunboat boots!! Wish they were all that way

Thank you finsruskw. The diagram is great, and now the photos clear it up more. I am thankful for both the diagram and the photos. I agree, the photos offer a better understanding of the parts and assembly. You may be surprised how hard it has been for me to try and find a picture of a 73 instrument panel - a picture that is close up and clear. Thank you for the reply post.
