Came acrossed something and need a little help
I came acrossed a 1450 with a snowthrower on. The person selling doesnt know mutch about it. It has a cab and a snowthrower all attatched but has sat outside for a few years. Is there any seals in the gearbox that are notourious for letting water in or any bearings are usualy bad? I want the snowthrower and assembly for my 1811, how much should I offer? Should I just get the whole thing, if so how much? Its not pretty but I think I could get it to run. Im not familiar with quietlines or snoblowers so any help is appreciated Eric

Just a little friendly advice: Usually when someone lets a piece of equipment sit outside a "few years", its mostly because something it broke, or worn out. If you want the snow thrower for your 1811, you should first be willing to accept the fact it could need rebuilt; new sprockets, bearings, belts, paint, and what have you.
I'd try to gather more information on condition of equipment before you ask us just how much its worth. Maybe they should pay you to remove it for them. Throw a 100$ out and see if you get a snag for the whole package! edit: Quiet Line garden tractors are very good units, as good as the tractors that came before.

I believe pics are a must to help establish a value, being able to see it's condition will help give a more accurate estimate.

You can also adapt the cab to fit if your any good at fabrication. The cab on my 1811 was for a wide frame Cub. Didn't take much to adapt it.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
