JD rotary broom on CCC 3185
Finely got my broom setup complete. I didn't do it all my self, I had a local welder help. The PTO knuckle being 1/8 of an inch too long was the largest setback. Thanks to those who helped on that thread. Used for some detaching and gravel removal from my parents lawn.
I had 200 lbs of cast iron on the 3 pt, but that wasn't enough. Needed another. It's a JD 60in HD broom. The 55 inch would have been lighter, probably better in that regards. But the 60 in comes in yellow paint not green, so that's way better. Ended up buying a new PTO knuckle Weasler 105-0615 to replace the JD one that was 1/8 inch too long. Let me know if you have questions.

It took a few months. The broom came with an A frame quick tach for front 3pt hitch. The black part with the galvanized bolt sticking up is a deere part. The rest I had welded by a neighbor who owns the local welding shop. It oscillates coaxial with the pto shaft. That way it follows the contour of the land.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
