Default New guy from IL

Hello all, I've been getting educated for few years here and am awed by the knowledge and helpful attitudes of the members. I have had some unexplainable obsession with cubs since I was about 10 and am now 60. Can't really explain it. I know it began when the town pastor let me drive his cub cadet he used to mow the church property back then, I guess it left its mark. I just remember feeling that I was in command of one heck of a machine. Anyway, I got my first cub about 5 years ago which is a 1450, PTO gave up so that will be my future restoration project. My worker is a 127, I am waiting for a new wiring harness and am anxious to get her running again. I'm no mechanical wiz but I read a lot and can usually figure things out but will probably be posting some inevitable electrical questions among others.
This site has some very good people here and it was always a comfort to know that others have the same obsessive disease as I. Thanks to all for your past and future help. T

Welcome. Sounds like you and I are pretty much the same, long on theory and a little short on job completion side.

Thanks for the nice welcome guys. PaulS. pegged me pretty good, "long on theory and short on completion." Jonathan, I am north central, between Peoria and Rockford, pretty rural ag area (thank God).

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
