Paint, Paint, Paint
So I have the motor torn apart on my Original right now and I am wondering how some of you painted the thing. What do I do with the fins on the top of the block and should I paint it all together or do it in sections and re-assemble it? Its kind of a pain in the butt right now. Any tips would be great.

I did my tins separately, then assembled the motor with head taped off, minus the carb, PTO, and flywheel. I then painted the motor. Painting the cast fins will be fine, they will just burn off later. Don't paint the aluminum head as it dissipates heat. Once I had that done, I painted my flywheel and PTO separately and then mounted everything to the motor after it all had dried a couple of days. Just the way I did it. I am sure others have their own way of painting the motor.
