Default 1983 Kohler KT17 24193

I am trying to find the front crank seal. I have found two part numbers I think:52 032 07 and 52 032 10. Can anyone enlighten me as to the correct one. I got these numbers off of another site, but the diagram was a little confusing as to the correct seal. Some one mentioned about diagrams on this site, but I can,t find them. Thanks.

At the top of this page you will see "cubcadet parts lookup"
go there and you will get the correct numbers.
Yes there are two flywheel seals.
The KT1's series 1, used a smaller seal dia. for the crankshaft than did the later
Series II and magnums.
The pto end uses the same seal early or late.

Here is a link to Series 1 parts manual. Scroll down to KT17-KT-19-KT21.
Page 16 of that manual looks to be the 52-032-10 using the spec number you posted.

You are correct. It is confusing. From the old Paper Manual, it "appears" that there was a change in the seal depending on the Chassis Serial Number of the tractor.

I will still keep looking for a better answer.

Further research indicates the front Oil Seal is: KH-52-032-10-S

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
