Default Found This Gem Today

Despite being camouflaged in red paint and listed as some obscure item, I found this guy on CL earlier in the week and picked it up today. It's been converted to 3-point, but everything is still there and in working order. Just needs de-fabricated to make it back into a sleeve hitch. Guy had no idea what he had, so it was listed very reasonable.

It was actually super nice today. Had the windows down on my journey to pick it up. But I don't have a torch to take care of this stuff at the house.

I only have narrow frame tractors right now. But one day, when I have more land and storage space, I'll get me a SGT.

Great find! It would be just the ticket for my 1872 w/3pt. How wide is the blade? I will be building similar for my Super.

No, you need an actual Cat 0 blade. The one he found is a converted sleeve hitch blade. It's 42" wide. Please, don't convert one of these particular blades.... they are pretty tough to find.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
