Default Fuel line

What brand of 1/4" fuel line do you folks suggest?
If you take a look on Amazon you'll find B&S, AC Delco and a bunch of other brands. Thanks.

Buy fuel hose with SAE 30 R7 imprinted on the hose. Do not buy anything below R7.

R7 is rated for use with E 10. It's about $1-$1.50/ft most places. I believe the SAE spec means more than the brand.

Thanks, that's good to know. I'm not sure about others but I never gave thought to the SAE rating.

I was just wondering what brand others were using. Some state that they're product is still USA made and many others don't. Just curious about the brand name others lean towards.
I think Gates was always a brand people mentioned when it came to hoses and belts.

I did read about the SAE rating and found that J30R6 and J30R7 are made for fuel but not fuel injection and if it doesn't state J30 it's not intended for fuel.

If you're nervous about using the R7 spec hose, buy the R9 fuel injection hose.

Have to agree with this and others. Only step up from here is PTFE but probably not warranted on a cub.

I have been using Tygon Fuel Line 1/4" ID X 3/8" OD or the 3/8 x 1/2 on any cub that needs a new fuel line.
I like the pretty yellow color and you can see the fuel flow condition.

Not at all. I figure if SAE says that R6 or R7 is for fuel I'll be happy with R6.
I might check out the purrty yellow stuff Lew offered up. LOL
Thanks all.

Go with the R9 fuel injection jose. It is well worth the small price difference. I buy mine from NAPA. It is not worth it to use cheap fuel hose.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
