Default fywheel Question

CC100 will a k241 flywheel and tinwork work on a k301, i don't want to cut frame.

They have different part numbers so I doubt it. You can cross
reference parts by using the CUB Cadet banner at the top of the
home page. Those engines would be under Garden Tractors

Default Flywheel

My thought was that if I can bore a K241 block that has 301 casted into it and could be bored to a k301 then why couldn't i use a K241 flywheel on K301 some one must have done this out there I can't be the only one.
I'm not trying to be a but hole just asking.

I believe the 10 and 12 horse flywheel and tinwork do interchange although I have run into a difference where the coil bracket bolts to the tin work being higher or lower ?

I think a K301 will fit into a 100 as is. The K321 (14hp) and bigger would require modifications.

I don't believe there is a difference between a CC100 frame and those models that come equipped with a K301, so why the concern about cutting the frame?

So that makes me curious why they have different part numbers.
That kinda makes cross referencing parts as is always suggested here
pointless it seems.

Some have the bolt on mule drive setup and some do not.
The earlier hard cover parts books list all the part numbers in the back and state just what they all fit.

The 102 has a different grille than the 70/100 so it probably bolts on a bit different and has the holes in a different arrangement, thus the different part #'s
392 595 r1 for the 70/100 compared to 392 596 r92 for the 102

Also, different fenders required different attachment hardware,
The 102 has a cutout for the gear shift lever that the 7/100 does not have.
The 102 is a high tunnel machine VS low tunnel for the 70/100.
Be assured there are/were reason for the different part numbers as well as the revisions that were carried on throughout the productions runs.

If you ever have access to hard parts books, you should jump on them.

when I looked at the kohler part # I found KH-47-755-02 for both the 10 and 12 hp ?

He didn't say he's changing any hardware, just wants to bolt in a 12 horse engine in where a 10 usta be.
