Default 1872 weak reverse
My 1872 goes fine in forward but not so much in reverse, when the forward/ reverse lever is in neutral the tractor sits still. What would be the cause? The fluid level is full and fairly fresh.

When your tractor in in neutral it is supposed to sit still.
ON your reverse problem try and switch the relief valves around and check if you have reverse. You will then have little or no forward speed.
I have had a relief valve stick and had no reverse. I took the valve out and hit it on a hard surface and it began to work as normal.

This is something I really want people to understand on the forum in general. The big valves are check valves, not relief valves.
