Cub Cadet 1529 with Kawasaki 19 hp
I have an older Cub Cade 1529 that I am going to sell. [ in Florida ] My age is catching up with me & it is hard for me to do my own repairs. As you can see, it ain't pretty, but it has a great 19HP Kawasaki engine w/480 hrs. & great transmission . It starts , runs , & drives fine. The yellow deck needs 2 spindle assemblies [ bent/worn spindle ] that can be taken from the black deck. Many good parts, including PTO. Also tossing in a Toro which needs repairs & a box of Toro/Tecumseh parts.
What would be a fair price to ask for all of this ?? SOLD |

That is a 20 year old belt driven rider that probably would only bring $200 to $300 max IMHO.

Sometimes I've seen these appraisal shows and lots of times I see them set the value at levels that no one in their right mind would pay. |

Kinda like watching the Mecum or Barret-Jackson auto auctions.

Those make me sad as far as unknowledgeable people think their run of the mill piece of similar equipment is worth way more than it is.
It also drives up asking prices for parts. Many think they they have struck gold. Just like the used vehicle market is doing now. Real quick the prices will return to normalcy as soon as people quit paying inflated prices, because of all the hype in the media. |

I live in North Central Florida, near Gainesville. All belts are 1 year old, & you can drive it up on a trailer.
$100 if any of you can use it. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
