Do you have a spark tester? Is it getting spark? If it is then you have a fuel problem and do not need to replace the ignition module. Once you tell use whether you have spark or not we can proceed to narrow down the issue.

Since you have spark we can assume its either a sheared key or a fuel issue. Does the tractor have a fuel filter? Can you see fuel in the filter? Is fuel flowing freely from the tank to the filter ?

Fuel solenoid working? Filter clogged? float stuck? Sounds like a fuel issue if your getting spark.. Does it fire on ether? 2 days sounds like a lot of time. If you don't know the basics to check I'm with J-Mech. Take it to someone who knows what to look for

Replaced fuel filter, anti backfire solenoid clicks on and off with key turned. Battery seems not to hold a charge too. Replaced battery. Engine turns and occasionally pops but wont run. Drains battery quick it seems.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
