Look what China is doing now
The carb on my rebuilt Onan runs too rich so I was looking for a rebuild kit and stumbled on this.

I was in a workshop with some Chinese colleagues and we were touring one of our corporate laboratories in France. The host was describing a 3D digitizer (put an object on a platform, and the machine makes a precision mechanical drawing of it).
The Chinese director mentioned that while the machine we were looking at was nice, they had the latest model in their labs in China. French/American/Spanish colleagues all rolled their eyes and all independently thought "of course you do".

 I wonder how long it will take to get from wuhu,anhui, China to Georgia? I'll let you all know if it is a POS or a option for cheap a$$es like me.

Oak, little late to the party here. There is more than one Carb for the Onan's in 982's. I think the Nikei (or however you spell it) is the most poplar. Mine has the less common, think it is a Walbro LU series. I don't remember where I got the kit, but it may have been V.E. Peterson. I know it wasn't too expensive. Just passing along info someone may find helpful in the future.
Be sure to post how well the Chinese reverse thievery, I mean engineering works. Probably the same plant that makes the aftermarkets for the Magnums.

You sure about that John?? CCC only shows one option.....
More than one carb available for that engine..... but I think only one put in that tractor. If you can supply some info, I'll retract.  Todd, I didn't go "goose hunting" but could you really not find a kit for that carb cheaper? That's a bit ridiculous.

John, here was the original carb. Probably what you have.

Where is the other float at?DSCN2118.jpg DSCN2121.jpg I pulled a Nikki carb off of another B48G engine, soaked it good and tried my best at cleaning it. I was told that you should really pull the welch plugs but the kit I got didn't have them. Where is a good source for them or do they need to be OEM? Where did you find your kit John? When I install this China special I'm going to pull the old one apart and dig into it a little deeper. Jon, typical Onan parts gouging. I have not found another source yet but I'll continue looking.

Gonna take a little digging to find info guys. Here is where I posted in 2014 about having a different carb. No I know that doesn't prove Cadet used different ones. I may be wrong about that. Next time I will look at the parts book, we have the original IH paper parts book--sometimes I don't trust the modern updates.
Anyway, here is where I said I have a different carb. Don't hold me to it but I think it was a LUA6 Walbro, or something like that. Go to post #8 http://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/s...ad.php?t=30045 Try these guys for hard to find carb parts, you will have to call them http://vepetersen.com/ In the meantime I'll keep digging and see what I can come up with regarding carb options.
