Default K-301 governor

I finally got around to putting together my 301 from the 126, I've had the parts and machine work done for nearly a year. I get it all together and some how I broke the tab off the governor shaft. Is there any way possible to remove and replace it without tearing everything back out?

It has to come back apart. Breaking the tab on the shaft is a symptom of turning the shaft the wrong way during the initial adjustment.

I explained this one once before. its a pain in the back side but with a set of mechanical fingers, a magnet , a light and a ton of patience it can be done with just taking the pan off. done it twice. don't ask for any tips or advice. its a real pain but it does save taking it all apart. 2-3 hours doing the first one. but it did save cost of a rebuild which is what would have had to have been done if I took the piston out.
