Default 782 mower interchange options

I'm considering putting a 44C mower deck on the 782 and I know the 582 and 682 setups (deck, mule, carriage, belt) will fit but what about others? Will a 982, for instance? A 1710? 1711? Are there others? Thanks.

The 44C will fit on any 82 series Garden Tractor. It will fit on the 982 but the Mule Drive will be different. The 44C will also fit on the 17XX and 18XX series tractors too.

So with the exception of the 982, the rigs from all of those, including the mule drive, will fit right on the 782? I may have an opportunity at a couple of non-runners and want to be sure everything will fit before I jump in, assuming I ever get dug out from this blizzard.

Christmas came a day late! I found this complete 44C deck, mule, and carriage about 2 hours away today and fetched it home for $150.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
