Default new guy needs info

Hi everyone,
I just found this site yesterday. Ipicked up a 2005 LT2042 2000 series heavy duty yesterday. It has only 120 hours on it, Kohler command v-twin engine with shaft. What can anyone tell me about this mower? What attachments can I get? my 2005 RZT42 just died with a cracked block.
I'm hoping the 2042 is like my fathers '84,its either a 1442 or 1642. I know his has hydraulic deck lift with 3 point hitch. any info. would be appreciated.
thanks

thanks for the info. i was hoping i could.put a 3 point hitch on it. i guess i cant complain...only paid $700 for the mower. does anyone know of this is a decent mower/ tractor. i know the GT are the realy heavy duty ones and the LT are the loghter duty models. but this one seems beefier than your run of the mill grass cutter with the shaft drive and the better kohlet engine. ( command vs. courage) cant find much on web about it.

It's a good grass cutter and light duty tractor. Where in CT are you? I used to live in Watertown.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
