Default New to me compressor

Just picked up an IR model 253 type T30 compressor. It has an 80 gallon tank, two stage pump and singe phase 5hp motor. I had to take it apart to make it somewhat managable to move. I'll be hitting with the power washer today and try and get it in the house later tonight.

Person I bought it from threw in a small come along and body shop paint sprayer. $200 dollars loaded in my truck.

Moved my new IR 253 T30 to my basment over the weekend. Way to heavy to move as a single unit so I moved it in three pieces each weighing between 100-200+ lbs Re-installed the motor and pump head tonight. Hope to plumb it this weekend. I'm going to try and run it off the 30 amp feed that is there now but think Ill need to run a new 40 amp feed since it draws 27.5 amps while running would guess start up amps are a lot higher. Need to try and find or fabricate a guard for the belts.

Wish mine was two-stage. I have a 7hp single stage. Gets pretty hot sometimes.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
