Default Fertilizer spreader mod
I bought this POS spreader at a yard sale for $10 last year thinking it would be easy to fertilize the lawn and spread grass seed on the hill behind the house. Well I hit a little bump and it promptly tipped over and dumped the full hopper of fertilizer in a pile. Lots of fun trying to scoop that back up. Anyway I have one spot with REALY GREEN GRASS. Was going to off it and buy a better unit but got digging around in my pile of stuff that I've save cause you never know when you may need it and it's too good to throw away. It seems we all have those treasure piles. So I made a set of outriggers for it. Hope to test it out once the rain stops. Think the O will get the call to action for towing duty.

That looks MUCH better. I agree with you, those darned pull-behind spreaders are a PITA on any kind of hills. A good set of training wheels never hurt anybody!

I have $10.00 in it and some time. Actually looked at a couple used 3 point PTO driven spreaders. Thought it was a little overkill for what I have to do, Oh and I'm cheap.

Put gas in the O and the old girl fired right up. First time I've actually used it since I bought it 2 years ago. Neat little tractor. Runs just like the one I grew up on. Anyway we had a successful test with the spreader. Works perfect, I'm Happy, Happy, Happy. Pic with my honey sitting on it.

Well the training wheel equipped spreader has been a resounding success. I've run a couple hundred pounds of stuff through it and it hasn't given me one problem.
