Little 1566 "Pro Stock" Tractor miniature...
Hello all, I'm finally posting some picts of the latest and greatest "little tractor" to come out of my shop. It started out as a Cub Cadet 782D which is a "standard" sized garden tractor with a 3 cylinder Kubota diesel from the factory. I'm sure the Cub Cadet purist may be upset with me that I cut such a rare machine up, but I only do what I'm paid to do...
First I installed a turbo charger off an European Smart Car... Next I made all new sheet metal and fenders... A little paint... And put everything back together... This machine was created totally as a show piece and still has the stock hydro tranny in it. It will never pull a sled. The owner is going to build a "Father" Pro Stock tractor this winter though, so you may see my tractor pulling the daddy through the pits. Kurt www.TheLittleTractorCo.com |

To say you are a master craftsman is a gross understatement. I’d love to see more on the turbo install on the diesel.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
