Default Will 6-12 ag tires fit on stock 124 rims?

Ive tried the search feature and didnt find a thread that had a definite answer.

Im curious if anyone knows if 6-12 tires will fit on stock rims, or if they need to be mounted on 6 inch rims? Im wanting to put dual tires on the rear of my 124, using 6-12 tires, and swapping the inside rim around backwards so everything tucks in as close to the axle as possible and does not stick out past my plow.

Like the picture below. Only seems worth it though if i can already use the rims i have on hand. Thanks guys

You have to have the narrow rims.

I thought so. Well, its not worth buying 4 narrow rims just to look a tad cooler than the regular wide lug tires like the 10.5's

Can you flip the rims backwards so 12.5 wide lug tires dont look so stupid sticking out so far?

No. (I think you mean 10.50's BTW.) But you might be able to put a different offset rim on that would move them in. (*cough* JD rim)

Unless you load up with weights or fluid, you'll get better traction with the 8.50's than the 10.50's on that tractor. I'd stick with what it has. Get some chains and weights.

Agree with J-Mech. 8.50 is the way to go when moving snow.

One thing about the dual 6's on the back, whether you reverse the inner rim or not, you add additional weight to your rear where it is needed. I've never spun my duals on my original, but I have spun them on my 8.5's and 10.5's, that have ih weights and chains on them.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
