serial number tag repo/ restoration?
The serial number tag on the rear end of my cub was damaged. The black paint came off when degreased my trans axle, despite the fact I tried not to get degreaser on it. I was wondering if there was any way I could get a replacement tag and stamp the numbers in it or if there could be a decal made to go over it and hide my mistake. Any and other opinions are welcomed!!

Here's a website I found that maybe able to help ya out: http://qbetags.com/nameplate.php. I'm going to call them someday to see what they can replicate and how much $$. By the looks of there web page I think they can reproduce any badge/tag we would need.

Sounds good to me! I'll give them a call when all the bills are paid. Also, I need a new tag for the mower deck

Check sponsors
I have seen the tags on one of the CC vendor sites. There are not that many vendors on the various sites so you should be able to locate who has them. I would think it less expensive to get them already made. Good luck.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
