New from Colorado
I'm joining in from Northern Colorado. Right now I have a 1962 original cub that will be restored and put to work. I also just recently picked up a #2 cart which will sometime be restored. It had been painted black. That's all for Cub stuff right now but I do have some simplicity's. I'm not partial to any brand. If its old ill take it.

Cadet 60, runs too
Just bought a 1968 Cadet 60 at a garage sale for $75. Figured I could part it out on Ebay. Looked good and complete, but I was told it hadn't run in years. Cleaned up the carb and the thing stated and ran fine. Will completely service everything before using same. Good match with my 1958 John Deere Model B with 503 Brush Hog, used on the rougher ground of my six acres.
The Cadet should just fine on level ground around fences and driveways. No more walk-behind mowing for me. Delighted to be able to print out the manual. Thanks a bunch Willie. "When all else fails -" |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
