Picture of the Week: February 14, 2016
This weeks submission is sent to us by local member Avery Allred aka mowerpower2u from Cullman, AL. Avery comments "It's my V8 Powered Cub Cadet. I named it the "Cub Ca-debt". It's powered by a Small Block Chevy with Tunnel Ram & Dual 4 Barrel Holley Carbs. The transmission is hydrostatic drive. [/CENTER]
A few features on it are: Radio/CD Player, 6 Disc Changer, Onboard Computer Monitoring with Voice Command, Turn by Turn Navigation, Power Steering, Tilt Wheel, Cruise Control, & Flame Throwers. I built it in 2001 and showed it around the country for many years. Also toured with World Of Wheels and the ISCA (The International Show Car Association). It has won numerous awards at local, state, national, and international level and been featured at shows in magazines, newsprint, and TV." Thanks for the submission Avery!!! Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
