Thanks Sam, Billy-O and Oak. I will just piggy back on this thread.

First, I want to give a big shoutout to Charlie (Digger) for facilitating the sale and my purchase. He has been working since day 1 to get this done. Thank you very much Charlie!!!!

As for the changes I plan on making. The only change I see on the horizon is to get us an update to make the site more cell phone friendly. Not sure how much that will cost or the time frame involved. The site will continue to be ad free, and will run from the site sponsors fees and donations from the members. The money that has been donated so far to save the site will stay with Angie. I even donated myself, not a big deal. As far as donations go, just donate if you can, the site is safe for future Cub Cadet owners and collectors, like myself. We have a awesome group of members that do what we can to help others work on and save their tractors. Keep up the good work.

I am sure there will be a few questions. Let them rip here on this thread....

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
