Finally restoring my IH 782
Hello all, after owning my non-running 782 for four years I’m finally getting around to restoring it. This will be a long haul project because of course it is a much worse shape than I ever imagined it would be.
I have always been sort of a background person on this forum but have always had my questions answered that I posed. I appreciate any advice or help in advance. I’ve got an M18 all set to go in it. most of the tins have been sandblasted and primed. As soon as I can figure out how to post pictures, I will throw a few on here. Mitch

Suggestions:
*Take lots of pictures (you'll get good at posting too!), because when you say "I'll remember where this goes" you won't remember. * Buy a cheap box of store brand zip locks and toss in hardware with a slip of paper "grill frame bolts", and "carb hardware" etc. * Clean parts as you go including hardware. * Sounds like you've already accepted that this will involve more than what you might have planned for (this is almost always the case). * Decide in advance what it your goal (refurb to good working condition? Repair and reassemble? Showroom restoration? ) * Keep a notebook with stuff you run across that you'll need to order. and most of all....keep posting pics! This will be a treat for the forum AND motivate you to keep going! Looks like a nice tractor. Good choice!

^Agree 100%. The last 2 tractors I did I took over 400 photos during the process with the one and 325 with the other. Can never have too many photos to refer back to.

That's a really old list of photo hosting sites (and Photobucket became a terrible place that vandalized uploaded images with their giant watermark and held people's photos hostage until you paid to get them downloaded from their "free" site)
IMGUR.COM is the easiest site these days to host images . Give it a try!
