Default Old Cub repair

Looking for someone in the Hillsboro, Ohio area who can work on old Cubs. I am willing to deliver up to a 50 mile radius. I have a model 71 that needs clutch work and a model 129 that needs an engine rebuild. If anyone has any recommendations, please let me know. I'm either running into shops who have no idea what a model 71 is or who have no desire to work on the old stuff.

Thanks, but how do I find him? The member listing looks like it uses screen names.

Got it. Thanks very much. If anyone else has any suggestions, I'm still open to them. For clarification, I'm not looking for someone to tell me how to do it. I'm looking for someone I can hire to do it for me. I know my own time, talent and interest limitations!

I made my own clutch tool and it works fantastic. I have 4 must have homemade tools for working on my cubs. What's the issues with the clutch?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
