PTO clutch sleeve?
I bought a used PTO clutch at an auction a while back for my 2082. It works but needed the bearing replaced. I have a new bearing but now realize the sleeve (if that's what it is called) that goes inside the bearing and over the crank shaft was missing. Does anyone know where or if i can get another one? or maybe have some measurements so i could have my buddy turn a new one on his lathe? Any thoughts are appreciated.

The crankshaft on my M20 was 1.25" in diameter, you may want to verify it's the same on yours. The sleeve is 1.5" long , I don't know the OD. |

If your talking about the stepped shoulder spacer that fits between the 2 bearings I doubt that you'll find one alone. If you need to reduce the ID bore of the clutch to fit a smaller shaft that is no big deal.

Here is what I'm thinking you need but Prolly the dimensions are different, so it will be of little help other than a reference. http://www.ihcubcadet.com/forum/mess...tml?1331850923 |

That is exactly what I was talking about when I said "stepped shoulder spacer" but you did a better job of explaining it to the OP, well done.

my crankshaft is 1.25" as well, don't have the old clutch to salvage the part from, but the info on the "stepped shoulder spacer" is appreciated. I think i should be able to come up with something to do the job. Thanks for help!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
