Default New from Micigan's Upper Peninsula

I've been lurking on this site for a few days and decided to post a pic of my 1650. It's a great tractor! I'm looking for a smaller snowblower for it, the current one is pretty heavy.

It's a lot handier since I made a weight bracket for the rear. That's a cast iron weight, around 200 pounds.

Nice looking 1650. My mother in law is a yooper. She has a trailer near Curtis but lives with her new husband in Grand Marais. He's the Methodist mininster there. My step son visits his grand mother in the early summer so we get to go up there and pick him up and hang out for a few days. The Great Lakes Brewing Company sure does make some good beer! Happy Cubbing!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
