149 exhaust options
My 149 was modified by the po. The motor is an opposed cylinder B.S, when they swaped motors they ran twin stacks, one on each side of the hood. I am going to go with a stack...its painted to look like its big brothers. The question I now face is go with the look of the IH 1466 or the 1468. The difference is in the stacks. The 1466 was a single stack 6 cylinder IH diesel row crop tractor. The 1468 was a twin stack Detroit diesel v8 engine row crop tractor. So single stack or twin stack?

I think two stacks on these look a bit funny now maybe if they were on the same side tucked close it would look cool but that is just my opinion. A single stack would be best i think. Draw it up using your tractor and maybe post a vote option would be cool to see both!

I would go single stack. To me it sounds a lot cleaner and better tuned imho. Dunno if it helps performance or not. But the sound is much.more smoother I guess you could say

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
