Default Rear push blade

I restored this old very rusty IH blade i had laying around & decided to make a rear push blade for my 782. I already have a front push blade on my 149 so i made this sleeve hitch rear blade for 782. I have swivel pin just not pictured. Lots of wire brushing, priming & painting.

I think I may do the same thing.. have two blades and dont need them both...Have you tried it out yet? If so how did it do pushing backward? I would think it would do better pulling rather than pushing...

This is awesome! I have an extra 42" blade laying around so this is a definite possibility for it. Keep us posted, excellent work!

I got the blade mounted on my 782. It lifts plenty high to clear obstacles & has down pressure that will raise rear tires off ground. I moved some stone with it and it worked really good. Im very happy with it.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
