Default Battery

How long whould a battery last running the motor and fuel pump without a generator? I'm only doing this because I don't wanna build a guard for pulley. Thanks guys

Well that is dependent on what you are talking about.
If the engine has a magneto and gravity flow fuel, it will run till it runs out of fuel, or has a mechanical problem
if it has a points/coil system, till the battery runs down and that is dependent on how large the battery is.
I could go on and on but I think you get the picture.

It is a points and coil system. I was wondering how many passes I could get out of a battery before it would need recharged?

about 13 or so years ago I built a stocker with no charging system and a ring gear starter, biggest draw it starting it. I had a good quality L&G battery in it and never questioned weather or not could make a run or not. I did try to keep the number of startups to a minimum.charged it the moring or night before an event. in my PS/SS I run a small motorcycle battery ,. it runs a holley pump and the ign. system and one other item. charge it at the start of a weekend .

I had a 100 that didn't charge and I could mow for a month before the battery wouldn't start the tractor.

Same here with my 108, was just lazy to not fix it because the WF v/r's are a pain in the poo poo to get to and adjust

I have run a Deka ETX30 all season and probably run it next season also just keep it charged and charge it before each event and you won't have an problems

I like the sealed batteries. you an tip them on their side, upside down whatever you want. I lay mine on its side under the rear end to keep the weight low in the chassis. I like to think of the battery , fuel pump ect.. as a weight. if you can put it where it is an advantage its a bonus
