Craigslist at its finest
This ad reminds me of one of those games where you try to find all the discrepancies between the pictures, with an added twist of finding how many things are incorrect with the tractor.
Just from reading the title, we already have a pretty good idea that the owner is a Moron, the tractor, the pictures and the text of the ad only reinforce this theory. The owner must also be terribly anxious to sell this tractor, because he has been relisting this ad every 2 or 3 days for quite some time. If he gets anywhere near his asking price... I'm going into the rattle can restoration business. http://stlouis.craigslist.org/for/5654906870.html

I think the cub has been updated as the add mentioned with 1450 parts and somehow a $ sign appears in front of that model number. Too bad he doesn't have a 70 to list for sale!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
