Cub 102 engine swap
I have a cub 102 with the 10 hp kohler (k241). I'm want to swap it out for a 14hp kohler. would this be as simple as a bolt together swap or would this require major fabrication?

depends how you go about it. a 14 has the larger bearing plate, flywheel and shroud. so you either swap the smaller bearing plate, flywheel and shroud or widen the frame like a 147. that or just drop the correct 12 in

Really? 7 months later you felt the need to correct someone on a simple mistake?

Cubcadet129, you already got parked for a while due to arrogance. Posts like you just made correcting a simple mistake are not helpful. You have quite a ways to go before you will know as much, let alone more, than dvogtvpe. Settle down bud.
Oh, the date is on every post. Pay attention to it and please stop digging up the older stuff. There's plenty of new threads to post in. By all means read through the old stuff, just stop posting in it if it's more than 1 month old. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
