Default Going to pick up a 129

Heading to MASmith's house in Louisville, to pick up a 129 this morning. Looking forward to getting the new addition. Freezing cold temps and snow just does not curb Yellow Fever does it?? LOL. Have pics later.

Finally got back home with the 129. Was a great pleasure meeting Mike Smith a member here and seeing the cool stuff he had. He had a 149 with a blower and a 169 with a blade both being used with all this snow. The 129 is a good worker showing it's 30+ years of service well. He had to replace the motor, but it sounds great, purrs nicely and is strong. They hydro doesn't seem to have any creep to it and works great. It comes with a nice set of Good Year Ags on the back, new tires on the front, a spring assist and he installed a set of lights up front, but I will need to do the wiring and install a switch, which will be no big deal at all. The 42 inch deck is in amazing shape and still has the baffles underneath. Here are a few phone pics. Oh, he also made me a great deal on a sleeve hitch, the last thing I needed for my 128.

Spring assist is there, just hard to see

Nice looking lights

The Deck

Repainted mule drive

Sleeve Hitch

My 128 in the process of engine rebuild and general re-do.

I appreciate the kind words. I like my shop but still have so much that it needs but that requires $$$$ LOL. One thing at a time and I'll eventually have it like I want it. I am learning patience with this hobby.

DX3...the 129 looks great! What is the update on your 169? Did you get it yet? How's your back feeling? Better I hope.
I'm getting ready to go out and fire up the 149 and snowthrower in a few minutes. We got a good bit of snow and I'll have some good seat time tonight.
Keep us posted and congrats on your new addition.

No news on my 169 yet, but, we have been hit with some weather we aren't used to seeing around here and I know this cold is probably causing the delay. I don't mind actually because I know it is paid for and is kind of like waiting for Christmas morning when it will arrive. The back is doing better, I just have to watch things that I do and not set it back.

Can't see your new addition DX3. It says this Image has been moved or deleted.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
