Default 1541 done finally

After sitting in the woods for a couple years a friend was going to take this beast to the scrap yard until I told him I would get it out of there for him. After a couple months, a lot of repairs, new parts, sanding, painting, applying new decals and TLC it is ready to go to work. The cab is one that was on my 12 hp 160 Deere for several years. It needed some redesign to fit. Theres probably more $$ into it than its worth but I think it will be a work horse year around. Just need to install power angle to the plow and can attack the snow. The only reason that I got the CC done is through the help of the forum members providing valuable info to a newbie. Thanks and Happy Holidays to all.

Can you post a pic of the dash? I've never seen a Cyclops with front outlets & wonder how the levers are laid out. Looks like a real nice tractor now.

Looks great! We love a resurrection! And a dual-spool 1541? Wow!

That handsome Cub will love you to death! And, work forever doing whatever you require.

Great work!

Default Progress pics

I will get a pic of the dash and post it.
Here are a few in process pics. The big bummer is that they guy I got it from gave away the plow and snow blower that went with the machine. I have the 50 inch deck and have yet to refinish it.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
